Hi, our names are Judith Hands and Kathleen Fahy.  Judith is the one with grey hair and Kathleen has dark hair. Judith is the main face of Tai Chi Tranquility; she is the one who will respond to your emails or talk to you via phone.  Kathleen works full time as an academic and tends not to get involved in the day to day running of the business. Judith has over 25 years of retail and managerial experience where she has honed her skills in quality assurance and customer service.  Judith is a perfectionist, which makes her perfect for customers who are looking for excellence in tai chi uniforms and tai chi shoes.

We live very close to the beach at the quiet end of the Gold Coast of Australia.  Five years ago we had a wonderful holiday in Vietnam and were struck by the beauty of the country and the people.  We had some clothes tailor-made there and were impressed with the quality and choice.  Over the past four years we have developed strong personal and professional relationships with our tailor in Vietnam. We visit them at least once every year and stay in touch by video Skype in between times. In this way we spend a month or more each year in Vietnam working with our tailors to ensure the highest standards of quality and service.  We pride ourselves on the range and quality of our fabrics and the cut and fit of all our tai chi clothing. We have recently commenced our second website to custom-made in  pajamas, nighties and other forms of men’s and women’s sleepwear (see www.tranquilitysleepwear.com).

About our Tailor and Garment Makers
Our tailor is a family owned successful small business in Vietnam.  We have been working closely with this tailor for 4 years and visit 1-2 times annually. We have an ethical responsibility to ensure that our clothes are not made in unsafe or unsanitary conditions and that the workers are paid a reasonable wage and are well treated.  We can confirm that the tailors and garment makers are paid above the average wage. They are provided with safe and comfortable work environments (see photos). The garment makers are treated as part of the extended family. Their female boss (the business owner) ensures that they have regular meal breaks and an afternoon nap.
