Our Standard Competition Tai Chi jacket is one of our most popular lines. Here you can select from all the options we have available to make the jacket exactly as you want. The Tai Chi jacket is available in any fabric in our range, (the color range can be seen on our charts) and any trim variation. We have a number of sleeve length options and finishes as well as pocket and lining options.
Features:
- The Taiji jacket has a mandarin collar with a small amount stiffening to maintain shape.
- The Tai Chi jacket has 7 frog buttons down the front.
- Sleeve options are standard cuff with 2 frog buttons, piping, hemmed. (For a folded cuff see SE0017 Traditional Kung Fu Jacket)
- Sleeve lengths are long, 3/4, elbow or no sleeves
- The cut is a raglan sleeve.
- The Tai Chi top has two slits to allow you to perform deep squats, lunges and high kicks.
The fit:
- The jacket should be about +8" to your actual chest/bust measurement.
- For long sleeves with a standard frog button cuff, they should be long enough to fold over and touch the first knuckle of your thumb when your arms are straight and relaxed (in the picture here I have pulled the sleeves up to show the cuff).
- The length of the jacket should come to the tip of your index finger (arm against your side and hand touching the leg as indicated in the picture here)
Pockets:
- Optional front pockets.
Lining
- You may want your Tai Chi jacket lined for additional warmth or comfort.
Trim Color
- Any combination of trim colors is available when you select this Tai Chi jacket.
- You may have a solid color cuffs and collar (as in the image) or trim around the edge.
- You may have a detachable collar (as in the image here) which gives the impression of trim.
Price structure for separate pants and jackets
- Ordering any of our tops and pants as separates is the same price as purchasing a uniform (depending on fabric and size choice).
